Every two years Dr. Sonkina takes her engaged and culture-curious  students to a field trip to Russia. We visit both cities and villages focusing on the jewels of Russian art and culture and simply looking at the way people live. Museums, music concert, ballets at Bolshoy or Marrinsky, a boat trip under the bridges of St. Petersburg, ancient monasteries, and  even a communal apartment of the Soviet era are on the menu.
